MyWirralHub : New Brighton – first event under our belt!

28 Apr, 2009  |  Written by admin  |  under MyWirralHub Events

Well… I would just like to say thank you for everyone who turned up to our first Wirral event of 2009. We had 24 people in total at Bobby’s Bar in New Brighton. Bobby’s Bar did us proud and put on a cracking buffet which was sponsored by MyWirralHub.

The speed networking went down a treat and there were some networking virgins who were dropped in the deep end but seemed to enjoy it at the same time.

If you came a long please add your comments to the blog or even send us some comment via email. If we could have done something better for you or differently, we would also like to know that too.

Some comments received so far:

Thank you for all your hard work organising the event last night. I hope you were pleased with the response. You’ve set yourselves a high standard for future events! Rosemary Quinn

We shall be adding the video of the evening in the next week and some photographs of the event too.

Our next event is next Thursday in Liverpool at The Chocolate Cellar on Hanover Street. To book your place please visit: http://mywirralhub-liverpool.eventbrite.com. Only 35 places for this event due to space within the venue.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    What a fantastic event ladies.
This was my first real networking event and it wasn’t at all what I expected, I had a great time!
I have already secured a great marketing deal from a connection made yesterday and I will definitely be coming back.
    Well done.

Hi Amanda, Ida and Lucy, well done for your inaugural networking event. The new format was refreshing and I would say I definitely got on the radar of a higher proportion of attendees than I usually manage at networking events. The count so far is three working relationships already formed from referrals from people I met on Monday, and its only Wednesday! – textbook networking – thanks a lot. Melissa

I really enjoyed the opportunity on Monday evening to hear about other people’s businesses.

One of the last people in the line up was Melissa from Let’s Go publishing – she gave me some additional literature about a directory of suppliers for schools that was about to be printed.

On Tuesday morning I emailed the information to a client from the Prince’s Trust and he was absolutely delighted. On Wednesday morning Melissa emailed to say thank you for the introduction and that a deal had been done.

Not a bad result in less than 24 hours given that neither party has ever met each other!
